Founded in 2010 by IIT Madras alumnus, Sarvesh Agarwal, Internshala’s foray into international education comes after years of finding success in helping college students and freshers kick-start their careers in India.
Internshala’s new initiative will not only focus on securing admissions for students in international universities but also help them with paid internships from companies operating in their chosen study destination.
According to a statement by Internshala, students availing the opportunity will be able to earn local work experience, develop their professional skills, and build a strong professional network, while also receiving financial support.
“According to a report by ICEF Monitor, 1.8 million Indian students are expected to pursue their studies abroad in 2024. With hundreds of thousands of students going abroad for higher education, only a very small fraction manage to secure admission in tier-1 institutions, which significantly enhances their career prospects through access to paid internships, better employment opportunities, and a strong alumni network,” said Shadab Alam, head of higher education and study abroad at Internshala.
“This leaves the majority of students, who gain admission to tier-2 and 3 institutions, at a disadvantage. To address this issue, Internshala has partnered with international employers in top study abroad destinations to provide these students with employment opportunities in their destination countries.”

Students who have subscribed to Internshala Study Abroad will be able to benefit from this initiative. After completing the admission process, Internshala will connect students with local companies who are currently hiring from Internshala.
The new initiative from Internshala has been announced within a month of its partnership with ETS wherein the two companies are offering scholarships and discounts on fees for TOEFL and GRE aspirants.
