This is the second school in Cyprus that Globeducate has purchased, as it grows its portfolio of bilingual and international schools globally.

The group already owns PASCAL International Education schools on the island, which it acquired in 2022.

The Cyprus-based school was established in 2003 by the Kritikos family, who also own higher education institute Global College, which is not part of this acquisition.

Chief executive officer at Globeducate Luca Uva said the school extends the group’s presence in Cyprus.

“Our conversations with the Kritikos family and team at Olympion quickly highlighted many shared values and goals, and I believe this will be a dynamic and important step in the future growth of both organisations,” he added.

The Educational Group Olympion School, based near Nicosia in Cyprus with nearly 450 pupils aged 6 to 18, joins the global Globeducate group alongside than 60 premium schools around the world. It also has online programmes in 11 countries.

Commenting on the acquisition, the Kritikos family said: “We are confident that joining Globeducate and developing a close relationship with PASCAL International Education schools on the island, will give us greater opportunities to grow further and to open our students to wider, global opportunities and a large network of peers across the world.
