Enroly described its partnership with the platform as a “service to make payments and refunds in international student admissions simpler”.
It will work as a fully integrated TransferMate software within the Enroly CAS Shield system, with real-time payment status for admissions teams, linked to student records.
The refunds system will also be streamlined through the partnership, offering “enhanced control over deposit payments, reducing client risks by holding funds in escrow”.
“Enroly and TransferMate are addressing the critical pain points of payments for university teams, students, and agents,” said Enroly’s CEO and co-founder Jeff Williams.
One director of visa and international support said that having such an ability for the “right people to access payment instantly” would really speed up the progression of students.
“Delays and a lack of visibility in this process slow down admissions and cause anxiety for students,” said Dee de Rocha from the University of Cumbria.
“I am interested to see how a solution like [this] can streamline international deposits for all involved,” she said.
Meanwhile, in school management, TransferMate’s Intrinsiq collaboration has been brewing for some months, according to Intrinsiq’s Insider Blog.
The deal will mean that Intrinsiq clients, who are largely English language schools, will be able to access TransferMate as a payment solution, on a new platform that the companies have developed in tandem, the blog said.
It gives our clients more options on how to pay, a more cost-effective solution, and a better experience overall

TransferMate said that the infrastructure behind the system was one of the “key reasons” Intrinsiq went for the partnership.
“It gives our clients more options on how to pay, a more cost-effective solution, and a better experience overall. It’s a real step forward in the payment infrastructure underpinning our solutions,” noted Intrinsiq’s Mark Milford.
“Intrinsiq are known for building bespoke solutions that match the needs of their education clients” said Thomas Butler, commercial director of education at TransferMate.
“They’ll now be able to offer an improved payment capability as part of that solution,” Butler said.
