The Perse School first opened in Singapore in 2020 under a different operator. It was rebranded as Invictus Bukis Timah at the end of last year following a change in ownership of the Singaporean partner.

The new school campus will launch in January 2025 once renovations of the building are complete, bringing the British brand back to Singapore, this time with new leadership.

The Perse School Singapore will be led by chief executive Johan Stromsater, formerly at the Canadian International School in Singapore, and principal Daniel Cross, who is relocating to Singapore from Cambridge. He spent 24 years at The Perse School Cambridge, most recently as senior deputy head.

Initially, the school will cater to pupils from 3-11 years of age and extend to include 12-18 from 2026, with fees starting at $22,750 per year.

The school is licensed by The Perse School Cambridge International and Ed Elliott, head of the Cambridge school, said there will be close collaboration between the two campuses to ensure “the consistent delivery of The Perse’s high standards and values”.

Singapore has long been a popular destination for school groups looking to expand overseas. Other British brands that have set up shop in Singapore include North London Collegiate School and Dulwich College.

The recent announcement comes after The Perse School won a tender conducted by the Economic Development Board and Singaporean Land Authority in the first half of this year.
